The memory of Lynn M. Schmidt of Highland, Illinois, who passed away on September 23, 2025 at the age of 71, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Korte and Genevieve Korte; her parents-in-law, Herbert and Elda Schmidt; and her sister-in-law Debbie Korte.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Schmidt of Highland, IL; her daughters, Kimberly Schmidt of Highland, IL and Kristin Thole (Stephen) of Carlyle, IL; her granddaughter Nora Thole; and her brothers, Terrence Korte (Debbie) of O'Fallon, IL, Michael Korte (Linda) of Maryville, IL, Steven Korte of Highland, IL, Stanley Korte (Denise) of Fenton, MO and Bryan Korte of Highland, IL. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul Catholic Church (1411 Main St, Highland, IL 62249).
