He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Ben and Evelyn Hartwick (Jackson); his wife Betty June Hartwick (West); and his brother Ronnie Hartwick. He is survived by: his sons, Perry Hartwick of Granite City, David Hartwick (Denise) of Highland, Bryan Hartwick (Joan) of Granite City, Jeff Hartwick (Donna) of Palm Coast, FL and Tim Hartwick (Tami) of Granite City; his grandchildren, Jennifer Sadowski (Jon), Lindsay Hendrix, David Hartwick, Vanessa Hartwick, Nathan Hendrix (Beth), Jake Hartwick, Zach Hartwick (Jessica), Damen Hartwick (Rachel), Erika Briggs (Jeremy), Alex Phelps (R. P.), Kaisi Liquori (Kyle), Devyn Hartwick, Luke Hartwick (Melanie), Caleb Hartwick and Joshua Hartwick; and his sisters, Joyce Crawford of Old Ripley, IL and Joan Rawls of Kennett, MO.. He is also survived by 29 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory (3939 Lake Dr, Granite City, IL 62040). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
