Maurice T. Gutzler Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 17, 2025, at the age of 97, Maurice T. Gutzler of Highland, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Gutzler and Ottille Mary Gutzler; his brothers, Reverend James Jacob Gutzler and Wayne William "Jake" Gutzler; his sister-in-law Josephine E. "Joey" Gutzler; his niece Nancy Gutzler; and his great-niece Melissa Brown.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Thomas Gutzler (Cynthia) of Highland, William Gutzler (Barb) of Highland, Mary Jo Moss (Ronald) of Highland, Kathleen Hastings (Douglas) of Edwardsville, Jean Milano (RJ) of Los Angeles, James Gutzler (Lori) of Highland, Janet Laney (Brad Rench) of Highland and Joseph Gutzler (Gail) of Highland; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Christopher Gutzler (Mary), Jacob Gutzler (Heather), Zachary Gutzler (Ashley Bollman), Shana Hepner (Charles), Chris Harbison, Emily Gutzler, Corey Moss, Chad Moss (Emily), Analisa Eilers (Russell), Alexa Huelsmann (Matthew), Nicole Potthast (Craig), Meghann Stotlar (Jim), Nathan Hastings (Katie), Hillary Newman (Dan), Brett Gutzler, Ali Milano (Kyle Awtry), Tyler Milano (Ryen), Adam Laney, Madeline Laney (Andrew Sorrell), Natalie Hamm (Robert), Andrea Burns (AJ) and Samantha Gutzler; his nephew Ron Laney; and his caregivers, Paula Henson and Diane Krydynski. He is also survived by 31 great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home - Highland (1501 9th St, Highland, IL 62249). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul Catholic Church (1412 9th St, Highland, IL 62249).
