We announce the death of Ruth R. Korte of Highland, Illinois, who passed away on June 4, 2026, at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Schrage and Frances Schrage; her husband Clarence A. Korte; her siblings, Vincent Schrage, Marie Isert (J. Francis), Andrew Schrage (Florence), Edmund Schrage (Rita), Clarence Schrage, Anthony "Tony" Schrage (Cecilia), David Schrage, Bertha Kampwerth (Maurice) and Casean Schrage; her siblings-in-law, Norbert and Helen Korte; her parents-in-law, Frank and Emma Korte; and her siblings-in-law, Eleanor and Virgil Henrichs.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen F. Korte-Long of Edwardsville, IL, Philip A. Korte (Anita) of Morris, IL, Christopher A. Korte (Gina) of Highland, IL, Curtis F. Korte (Mykelann) of Edwardsville, IL, Douglas G. Korte (Francine) of Pacific, MO, Cinthia R. Pratt (Scott) of League City, TX, Sheila M. Korte of Saint Louis, MO, Emily Korte-Stroff (Clayton) of St. Louis, MO and Chad P. Korte of Highland, IL; her grandchildren, Katrina Knebel, Angela Flicker, Jene Lintz (Charlie), Kendall Claire (Craig), Kaylin Korte, Nathan Korte, Chase Korte, Reece Korte, Evan Korte, Jessica Korte, Samantha Korte, Lillian Pratt, Amelia Pratt, Zenga Stroff, Francis Korte and Anton Korte; her great grandchildren, Sylvia Knolhoff, Althea Knolhoff, Monet Flicker, Jude Flicker, Addison Lintz, Gavin Lintz, Hudson Claire, Caden Claire and Adeline Claire; her sister Florence Luechtefeld (David); and her sisters-in-law, Florence Schrage, Joann Schrage-Rehkemper, Peggy Schrage, Olivia Ficker and Irene Huelsmann (Bernard).
