He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Clayton and Alberta Rommerskirchen; and his grandchildren, Kraig Klenke and Jessica Clayton. He is survived by: his girlfriend Cindy Miller; his children, Stephen Clayton (Denise) and Kristine Klenke (Brian); his grandchildren, Jacob Clayton (Halie), Ben Clayton and Chelsey Robertson (Matt); his great grandchild Rowan Clayton; and also, Tiffany Abert (Eric), Olin, Maddox and Dakota Abert.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Meridith Funeral Home (1223 Broadway, Highland, IL 62249). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Highland American Legion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the adoption fund for his great-grandchild.
