He was predeceased by: his parents, David Melosi and Karla Melosi; and his parents-in-law, Tom and Donna Ahlmeyer. He is survived by: his wife Karen M. Ahlmeyer; his children, Jacob Melosi, Eric Melosi (Fiancée-Amanda Winkler) and Abby Hackstadt (Chase); his siblings, Dave Melosi (Bobbi), Vicky Tift, Rich Melosi, Kris Eyman (Dale), Janey Miller (Jeff) and Bob Melosi (Jody); and his brother-in-law Michael Ahlmeyer (Leslie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul Catholic Church (1411 Main St, Highland, IL 62249).
In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Paul Education Foundation or wishes of the family (payable to Karen Melosi) and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 1501 9th St., Highland, IL 62249, who is serving the family.
