He was predeceased by: his wife Silvana Serafini; and his sister Anna Capozzi of Italy. He is survived by: his sons, Armand Lanera (Sharon) of Palatine and Morry Lanera (Jennifer) of Cary; and his grandchildren, Steve Lanera of Chicago, Michael Lanera (Claire) of St. Louis, Christina Lanera of Chicago, Giovanni Lanera of Chicago and Alexandra Lanera of Cary.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home (858 Sheridan Rd, Highwood, IL 60040). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
