With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Irma Irene (Ingles) Cress of Hillsboro, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Irma Irene left this world on July 26, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Ingles and Rose Ingles (Pollard); her former spouse Oran C. Cress; and her siblings, Cecil, Clifford, Francis, Shirley, Udell, John Dean, Donald Ingles, Goldie Saathoff, Lora Varner, Dorothy Enloe and Opal Varner.
She is survived by: her children, Oran Cress of Hillsboro, Illinois, Pamela Thompson (Dale Nichols) of Hillsboro and Rose Loskot (Harry) of Irving Illinois; and her grandchildren, Shane Cress of Litchfield, Travis Rapien of Mulberry Grove, Cody Loskot of Hillsboro, Lynn Thompson, Jr. of Litchfield and Erin Muhlenkamp of Loveland, Ohio. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Assembly of God Church (303 S. Hill St., Sorento, IL 62086). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM.
The family asks that donations and memorials be given to the Sunnyside Cemetery, in lieu of plants, flowers, and other gifts. Memorials may be given at the visitation and funeral or mailed to the Sunnyside Cemetery Association, PO Box 267, Sorento, IL 62086.
