He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Hartel and Dorothy F. Hartel (Williamson); and his siblings, Gordon Hartel, Earl Hartel, Maxine Meier, Shirley Boyd and Marlene Parks.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Hartel of Hillsboro, IL; his daughter Deborah K. Hartel of South Carolina; and his grandchildren, Addam W. Delisle, Hope Aull and Heather Aull. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
