We are sad to announce that on July 22, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Norma Lavaughn Shipman of Hillsboro, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hemken and Mamie Hemken (Fenton); her husband Robert Shipman; and her sisters, Louise Russell and Charlene Butler.
She is survived by: her sons, Rick Shipman, Roger Shipman (Rene) and Rodney Shipman (Juli); and her sister Delores Neathery. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bass-Patton-Dean Funeral Home (624 S Main St, Hillsboro, IL 62049). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cress Hill Cemetery.
Memorials in Norma's honor may be directed to the Montgomery County Cancer Association (MCCA).
