He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Ruth Slightom (Pruitt) and Edward W. Slightom; his brothers, William Slightom, Jr. and Lyndle Slightom; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Sue Slightom (Blankenship).
He is survived by: his children, Cory Slightom (Carolyn) of Fillmore, IL, Shane Slightom (Lucy) of Ramsey, IL. and Wendi Slightom (Jeff Scattergood) of Taylorville, IL; his siblings, Larry Slightom of Hillsboro, IL and Lena Beck of Hillsboro; and his grandchildren, Mila Scattergood, Heidi Slightom, Ian Slightom, Colby Reitz, Weston Slightom and Otto Slightom.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that you consider a memorial to the Montgomery County Cancer Association or the Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Department.
