He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank DeWitte and Elsa DeWitte (Loontjens); and his brother-in-law Bradley Kincaid. He is survived by: his wife Irene Whiteside; his daughters, Jana McNew (Glen) of Kahoka, MO and Jodi Day (Tom); his grandsons, Dylan Columbia (Hanna) of North Liberty, IA, Donovan Day of Davenport, IA and Easton Day; and his siblings, Barbara Kincaid, Eugene DeWitte (Cheryl) of Morton, IL and Richard DeWitte (Connie).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center or American Cancer Society.
