It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine A. Mitton of Hillsdale, Illinois, born in Moline, Illinois, who passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Ely and Marguerite Ely (Smith); her husband Dick; and her brothers, John and Richard Ely.
She is survived by: her children, Rich Mitton (Cara Lisa) of Oklahoma City, OK, Tara Oleson (Eirik), Randy Clevenger (Gayle), Marty Clevenger (Margie) of Brimfield, IL, Jill Coussens (Walt), Janna Cox (Charlie) and JoEtta Catterton; her sister Elaine Pease; her sisters-in-law, Jean Mitton and Martha Ely of Clayton, NC; her grandchildren, Lauren, RJ, Austin, Nicole, Kylie, Katelyn, Makayla, Casey, Charles, Katie, Kendra and Corey; and her friends, Carolyn DeBlieck and Joan DeCap. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Richard and Kathy Mitton Scholarship fund at Riverdale High School.
