He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Schlotfeldt and Ardelle Schlotfeldt (Peters). He is survived by: his wife Vicky L. Wiersema; his children, Dana Morey, Lynnette Stevens, John Carlile, Chris Carlile (Nicole), Jimmy Carlile, Russ Schlotfeldt (Sarah), Ron Schlotfeldt II and Travis Schlotfeldt; his grandchildren, Kaleb Carlile, Madison Schlotfeldt, Aubrie Schlotfeldt, Travis Schlotfeldt, Jr., Kyler Ball, Gabriel Ball and Marissa Weiner; and his siblings, Lana Thoma, Dean Schlotfeldt (Norma), Willie Schlotfeldt (Shirley) and Gail Kruse (Jerry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
