She was predeceased by: her former husband John R. McComb; her parents, David A. Cruickshank and Patricia R. Cruickshank; her son Charles D. Mooney; her sister Betsy E. Mistretta; and her stepdaughter Jaclyn Cores.

She is survived by: her husband James A. Cores; her daughter Jennifer J. McComb (Marco Quintana); her stepchildren, James Cores (Tara) and Jean Schiaveo (Joe); her grandchildren, Alexandria Gonzalez (Raul), Amanda Gonzalez (Daniel), Charles Mooney, Eduardo Lerma, James, Logan, Genevieve Cores and Lillian Schiavo; and her brother David Cruickshank (Patricia).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory (4001 Roosevelt Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
