He is survived by: his wife Gloria Banda Rodriguez; his children, Rick Galvan (Martha), Gus, Jose Antonio Galvan (Betty) and Melissa Perez (David); his grandchildren, Cindy, Lisa, Eric, Nico, Alex, Diego, Santi, Jordi, Addi and Lucas; his great grandchildren, Branton, Xander and Rafi; and his siblings, Chelo, Toño, Pepe, Maga, Victor, Marta, Lupe, Chuy and Lalo.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (7750 W Cermak Rd, Forest Park, IL 60130). A prayer was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM and from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mystical Rose Parish - Olm (2400 S 61st Ave, Cicero, IL 60804). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cardinal Bernardine Cancer Center.
