She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Hart and Rosie Hart; and her siblings, Lillie Mae Terry, Lewis Hart, Jr., Rosalie Hart, Louise Williams, Theodore Hart, Lonnie B. Hart and Sammie Hart.
She is survived by: her husband Jimmie D. Carter; her children, Teresa Tyson, Kathy Haralson (Joe), Jimmie D. Carter, Jr., Loretta Carter and Debbie Carter; her grandchildren, Richard Tyson (Angel), Jonathan Jones, Kaitlyn Haralson, Jessica Carter and Aaliyah; her great grandchildren, Jaylen Tyson and Stephen Tyson; her siblings, Ollie Carter (late Albert), Norma Hart-Davis, Rachel Hart-Johnson, Louis Hart-Davis, Dwight Johnson and Reginald Hart; and her honorary daughter Pam Jones.
