We announce the death of Luigi Ruffolo (Hillside, Illinois), who passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 87. Luigi will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Umile and Teresa; his grandson Vito; and his siblings, Orlando (late Ida), Ettore, Mario, Rosina Scarano (Frank) and Maria Galione (late Vincenzo).
He is survived by: his children, Gina Burdi (Saverio), Diana Saviano (Tom), Carlo Ruffolo (Anna) and Teresa Gallo (Michael); his grandchildren, Angelica, Sabrina, Nicoletta, Tommy, Alyssa, Romano, Giavanna, Luigi, Gianluca, Mario and Antonio; and his siblings, Rocco (Helen), Emelia Salituro (late Michael) and Ornella Curatolo (Gioacchino).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Russo's Hillside Chapels (4500 Roosevelt Rd, Hillside, IL 60162). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Philip the Apostle Parish (1223 W Holtz Ave, Addison, IL 60101).
