He is survived by: his daughters, Rosa Betancourt (Raul) and Alma Herrera (Enrique Ramos); his grandchildren, Karla Betancourt, Amayrani Betancourt and Arely Betancourt; his great grandchild Maya Betancourt; and his siblings, Jose Herrera (Raquel) and Socorro Komjati (Andrew).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Russo's Hillside Chapels (4500 Roosevelt Rd, Hillside, IL 60162). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church (3010 48th Ct, Cicero, IL 60804).
