He was predeceased by: his parents, Michele DiGioia and Lucia DiGioia; his sisters, Angela and Frances Bandomo; and his nephew Nicholas Bandomo.

He is survived by: his close friend Sandy Palumbo; his children, Michael DiGioia, Sr. (Keri), Joseph DiGioia (Maria), Lisa Fogle (Brian, Sr.), Nicole Stachon (Rich), Francesca DiGioia (TJ Taylor), Louis DiGioia (Kaylee), Anthony DiGioia, Angelica McKenzie (Calvin), Brianna McKenzie (Ben), Franco DiGioia (Amanda) and Jacalucia DiGioia; his grandchildren, Michael, Jr., Anthony, Isabella, Michael, Nathan, Cesar, Rocco, Lorenzo, Gia, Dakota, Brian, Jr., Alexa, Jenna, Nicholas, Lia, Emma, Kailey, Tyler, Cameron, Kade, Tula, Blake, Pia, Kora, Teddi, Lilliana, Timothy, Ella, Jameson, Emmaline, Bennie, Gabriella, Leonardo, Alessia, Sophia and Giovanni; his nieces and nephews, Lucy Faulkner, Angela Castillo, Frances Bandomo, John Bandomo, Antonio Bandomo and Frank Bandomo; and his pets, Caesar and Luna.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Russo's Hillside Chapels (4500 Roosevelt Rd, Hillside, IL 60162). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
