He was predeceased by: his parents, Giovanni Sarangelo and Carmela Sarangelo; his wife Rosemary Barber; his siblings-in-law, Jerome Angsten, Tura Angsten and Jerie Barber; and his nephew Jerry Angsten.

He is survived by: his daughters, Rosemary Pasteris (Phil), Paulette Timpanaro (Michael), Carolyn Kurtz (Ed) and Francine Frey (Ed); and his brother-in-law Vince Barber (Cheryl). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
