Phillip Mayes Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 2, 2025, at the age of 75, Phillip Mayes (Hillside, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bracey and Mattie; his siblings, Edward Mayes (late Jenny), Claude Mayes, Frances Twilley (late Joe) and Jenny Dunning (Robert); and his pet Muttley.

He is survived by: his children, LaShaun Mayes (Tia Guice) and Michael Williams; his sibling Thomas Mayes (Deborah); his nephew Anthony "Butch" Lewis; his friends, Daryl Rucker, Roy Morgan and Sam Corbbins; and his family Street Racing.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Russo's Hillside Chapels (4500 Roosevelt Rd, Hillside, IL 60162). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
