He was predeceased by: his wife Deborah; his son Richard Lukow; and his granddaughter Phyllis Collins. He is survived by: his significant other Ann E. Mancione; his children, Carol Jeske (Billi), Kimmi Shelden and Adam (Jessica); and his grandchildren, David, Jacob, Rachel, Luke, Adilyn, Adam and Barbara Soderstrom (Fred).

A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Glen Oak Cemetery (4401 Roosevelt Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
