Ruth Veit Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Veit (Hillside, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 29, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Ruth had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Ruth may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Sigi Veit; and her sister Lila Williamson (Koch). She is survived by: her children, Barry Veit (Julie) and Deb Hutter (Loren); and her grandchildren, Rachel (Daniel Zien), Aaron Veit (Tiffany), Becky (Brad Kosner), Emily (Josh Zadikoff), Jason Veit (Marla) and Matthew Hutter (Jori). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Ridge Cemetery (4301 Roosevelt Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
