He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rose Schelewitz and Ray Schelewitz; his caregivers, Vicky, Anna, Karla and Carmen; his wife Vilma Schelewitz; his children, John Schelewitz, Jennifer Gerdes (Daniel) and Susanne Cabo (Greg); his granddaughter Tessa Gerdes; his sisters, Lois Saner (late Paul) and Mary Kissel (Bob); his nieces and nephews, Catherine Saner (late Herc), Barb Kravcik (Jim), Mary Ershbock, Kelly Shimenetto, Tom Saner, Tim Saner (Carrie), John Kissel (Connie), David Kissel, Catherine Zolezzi (Michael), Mary Metzger (Patrick), Robert Kissel (Monica), Nancy Nimz, Sandy Nimz, Dorothy Peterson (Howie), Jack Nimz (Annie) and Laura Jones (Ron); and his close friend Danny Mikolitis.
