He was predeceased by: his father David Schmidtbauer; his brother William Schmidtbauer; and his stepfather Ken Lincke. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Schmidtbauer (Fedrow) of Vernon Hills, IL; his wife Elizabeth Schmidtbauer (Betsy) of Hinckley, IL; his son Hunter Schmidtbauer of Hinckley, IL; his brothers, James Schmidtbauer (Nicole) of Pleasant Plain, OH and Patrick Lincke (Cynthia) of Zion, IL; and his parents-in-law, Mike and Shawn McCrea of Hinckley, IL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
