We announce the death of Daniel Derrington (Hinsdale, Illinois), who passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 81. Daniel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Daniel will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Daniel will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Daniel’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mandline Derrington; his son Matthew; and his sister Sandra. He is survived by: his father Thomas Derrington; and his wife Andi.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Union Church of Hinsdale (137 S Garfield St, Hinsdale, IL 60521).
In lieu of flowers, the family has kindly requested that donations be made to the Miami University Foundation, St. Thomas Hospice, or Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation.
