He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Lana; his children, Gene, Jr. and Paul (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Jake, Ben, Casey and Quinn; his parents, Joseph S. Ognibene and Agnes H. Ognibene; and his siblings, Agnes Love (late Don), Sam, Joe and Matilda Eugling (late Chuck).
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sullivan Funeral Home & Cremation Services (60 S Grant St, Hinsdale, IL 60521). A prayer will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sullivan Funeral Home (60 S Grant St, Hinsdale, IL 60521). A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John of the Cross Church (5005 S Wolf Rd, Westchester, IL 60154). An entombment will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
