He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Wendt and Stuart Champley; his brother Tom Champley (Pam); and his former wife Charlene Champley. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann; his daughters, Dana Durocher (Simon) and Sara Dyson (Matt); his stepchildren, Toni Ann Zerebeski (Paul Wolfe), Sheri-Lynn Zerebeski and Michael Zerebeski (Cassandra); his grandchildren, Kylie, Ashley Durocher, MacKenzie, Natalie, Emily Dyson, Paige (Ben), Strobel, Cynthia Weiland, Jackson Weiland, Samantha Ealy, Holden, Miles and Emerson Zerebeski; his great grandchildren, Savanna, Ila and Maeve; his granddaughter Ida Olsen; and his sisters-in-law, Sandra (Roy), Brouwer, Cindy Gibson-Smith (Mark) and Sheila Doran (Doug). He is also survived by family members and countless friends.

During the pandemic in 2021, they moved to Vernon, British Columbia to be closer to Carol's son Mike, and his family.
