We bid farewell to Mark James Kiernan of Hinsdale, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 10, 2025 at the age of 63. Mark touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathryn C. Kiernan; his children, MaryClaire Empson (Isaac), George Kiernan (Michaela) and Nora Anne Kiernan; his parents, George E. Kiernan and Margaret S. Kiernan; his siblings, Jane Kiernan (Brian Bellew), Amy Kiernan, Jeff Kiernan and Joan Kiernan; his siblings-in-law, Kevin Barr (Susan), Brian Barr (Joann), Noreen McCann (Kevin), Nancy Lee (Robert) and Martin Barr (Molly); and his cousin John Kiernan. He was also cherished by 25 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sullivan Funeral Home & Cremation Services (60 S Grant St, Hinsdale, IL 60521). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church (306 W 4th St, Hinsdale, IL 60521).
