He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathryn C. Kiernan; his children, MaryClaire Empson (Isaac), George Kiernan (Michaela) and Nora Anne Kiernan; his parents, George E. Kiernan and Margaret S. Kiernan; his siblings, Jane Kiernan (Brian Bellew), Amy Kiernan, Jeff Kiernan and Joan Kiernan; his siblings-in-law, Kevin Barr (Susan), Brian Barr (Joann), Noreen McCann (Kevin), Nancy Lee (Robert) and Martin Barr (Molly); and his cousin John Kiernan. He was also cherished by 25 nieces and nephews.
