He was predeceased by: his wife Dena Karzen; his parents, Louis Karzen and Hazel Karzen; and his brother Bruce Karzen. He is survived by: his significant other Nancy Redmon; his sons, Brian and Todd Karzen; his grandsons, Jacob and Joseph Karzen; and his brother Lloyd Karzen. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Westlawn Cemetery (7801 W Montrose Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). A reception will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:30 PM at 461 Waukegan Rd, Northbrook, IL 60062.
