He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Bellgrau and Helen Bellgrau; and his sister Patsy. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his sons, Scott (Marcilia) and Kent (Renee); his grandchildren, Liam, Alec, Lucas and Sasha Bellgrau; his sister Susan Mateja; and his nieces and nephews, Lori Randall, Ryan Randall, Lauren Carranza, Bryan Welch, Dwyane Welch and Jennifer Laucke.
