Gail Sapio Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of Gail Sapio (Hoffman Estates, Illinois) is shared. Gail, born on September 12, 1952, passed away on October 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Bob Sapio; her daughters, Amy Sullivan (Mickey), Lori Sapio, Katie Burnie (Josh), Julie Sochacki (Vinnie) and Tricia Detig (Mitch); her grandchildren, Nicole (Brian), Megan, Stella, Lucca, Olivia, Lauren, Vito, Viola, Camilla, Neve, Oona, Ansel, Cooper and Beau; her sister Janet Coutris (late Jimmy); her nephews, Michael Coutris (Jamie) and John Coutis; and her niece Maria Coutis.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, November 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (2515 W Palatine Rd, Inverness, IL 60067).
