He was predeceased by: his mother Lillian Szmurlo. He is survived by: his father Adam Szmurlo; his wife Debbie; his children, Stephanie and Adam Szmurlo (Melanie Koto); and his siblings, Ron (Judith), Florian (Diana), Mary (Len), Len (Chris), Chester and Steven (Steve). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home (185 E Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL 60067). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (2515 W Palatine Rd, Inverness, IL 60067). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holy Family Church (2515 W Palatine Rd, Inverness, IL 60067).
