Edward Meier Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate Edward Meier of Hoffman, Illinois, whose life came to an end on August 3, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Meier and Myrtle Meier (Thouvenin); and his siblings, Charles Meier (Mary), Ralph Meier (Frankie), Clarence Meier (Lorene) and Ruth Meier.
He is survived by: his wife Katie; his son Bruce Meier (Roberta); his grandchildren, Nathan of Worden, Illinois. and Collin Meier of Worden, Illinois.; and his brothers, Earl Meier (Carolyn) of Hillsboro and David Meier of Hoffman. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (8700 Huey Rd, Hoffman, IL 62250). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery (8701 Huey Rd, Centralia, IL 62801).
In place of flowers and other gifts, the family suggests that memorials be made in Ed's memory to Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman.
