He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Bassen and Edna Bassen (Sheverbush); his wife Jacqueline Myers; his siblings, Clyde Bassen, Edwin Bassen, Harold Bassen, Wilma Terry (Hugh) and Doris Atchison (Les); and his in-laws, Marilyn Holle, Pat Carter, William Myers, Mack Myers, Larry Myers, Tom Myers and Dewayne Myers.
He is survived by: his children, Dewayne Bassen (Jane), Randy Bassen (Sherri) and Cathy Wood (Terry); his grandchildren, Jessica Phillips (Abram), Elizabeth Wood, Ethan Bassen (Zephyr), Alec Bassen, Tara Ramey (Joe) and Adam Brewer; and his great grandchildren, Olivia Phillips, Madilynn Phillips, Rylie Clegg, Caden Ramey, Makensie Brewer and Taylor Brewer.
