With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Flanagan of Homer Glen, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 26, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Rita; and his sisters, Maureen Reid and Bridget Feritter. He is survived by: his sons, Sean Flanagan (Inga) and Michael Flanagan (Emer); his grandchildren, Colin, Micheal, Deirdre, Aidan, Emma and Rebecca; and his siblings, Donal Flanagan and Joan Tobin.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Richard J Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services (12641 W 143rd St, Homer Glen, IL 60491). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 9:15 AM to 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Mother of Good Counsel Church (12641 W 143rd St, Homer Glen, IL 60491). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Good Shepherd Cemetery (16201 104th Ave, Orland Park, IL 60467).
