Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Dan for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gwen Sharknas and Tony Sharknas; and his stepfather Efren Velasco. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer; his sister Celeste Kirschner (Kenneth); his nieces, Valerie Dakarian (John) and Carly Kirschner; and his stepdaughters, Terry and Jeri Brooke (Rob). He is also survived by extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Suburban Humane Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Guiding Eyes for the Blind, in honor of Dan's life and legacy.
