He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Rosa Braglia; and his parents, Nicolina Zarroli and Vittorio Zarroli. He is survived by: his children, Patrizia McElroy (Michael) and Vittorio Zarroli; his grandchildren, Kyle McElroy and Marin McElroy (Douglas Gray); his sister Teresa Zarroli; and his brother-in-law Claudio Perotti.
