She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Miller and Felmer Miller (Warf); her husband Donald "Butch" Gress, Sr.; her sister Linda Evans; her granddaughter Lori Dawn Gress; and her stepgranddaughter Amanda Landers.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Gress (Loni) of Hoopeston, IL, Dennis Gress of Naples, FL, Robin Thomas (Chad) of Hoopeston, IL and Greg Gress (Sandy) of Charleston, SC; her brother Rick Miller (Peggy) of Danville, IL; her siblings-in-law, Madge Silver (Dan) of Hoopeston, IL, Bob Evans of Milford, IL and Tom Gress (Elnora) of Hoopeston, IL; her grandchildren, Mike Gress, Jason Gress, Aaron Gress, Eric Gress, Jessica Gress, Dylan Gress (Kim) and Devan Thomas; her great grandchildren, Brently Gress, Conner Hamilton, Ella Gress and Jillian Gress; her stepgrandchildren, Andi Garman, Ashlee Polen (Scott), Scott Wilson (AnnaLu), Randy Wilson and Chris Wilson; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Zach Garman, Chas Landers, Blaine Landers, Baylea Hasbargen, Rori Wilson and Reece Wilson; and her close friends, Ellen Lettman of Naples, FL and Sue Comstock of Hoopeston, IL.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (427 E Main St, Hoopeston, IL 60942). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Carolyn thoroughly enjoyed her son-in-law's Christmas light show and would like memorials to be made to the Thomas Light Show with checks payable to C & D Outdoor, 329 W. Main St., Hoopeston, IL 60942.
