He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Farrell and Marjorie Farrell (Boltz); his brother Mick Farrell; and his brother-in-law Tom Long. He is survived by: his sons, David Farrell (Maria) of Tucson, AZ and John Farrell (Carolyn) of McCordsville, IN; his sisters, Doris Long of St. Joseph, IL and Patricia Farrell of Hoopeston, IL; his sister-in-law Ruby Farrell of Hoopeston, IL; his grandchildren, David, Ryan, Nolan, Viviana, Jack and Paige Farrell; his great grandchild River Ty Farrell; and his siblings' children, Tom Long (Cheryl), Lisa Sage (Kevin) and Beth Eyrich (Jeremiah).
