He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Sims and Margaret Anne Sims (Neathery); his wife Denise Renee Stock; his brothers-in-law, Robert Alkire and Darrell Holmes; his father-in-law Gilbert Stock; and his niece Stephanie Alkire.
He is survived by: his children, Emily Davis (Logan) of Bloomington, IL, Lucus Sims of Hoopeston, IL and Seth Sims (Alexis) of Hoopeston, IL; his sisters, Debbie Alkire of Hoopeston, IL and Soni Holmes of Covington, IN; his grandchildren, Rowan, Oakley, Sydney and Olivia; and his mother-in-law Kathy Stock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
