He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Brose and Lenora Krause Brose; his stepdaughter Lori Walsh; and his brothers, Leroy and Ken.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Dana Gordon and Rhonda Bodtke (Pam); his stepgrandchildren, Brett Gordon, Kendra Neuhaus and Shawna Walsh; and his sister-in-law Joann Brose.
