It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Phyllis J. Myers in Hopedale, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 82, on June 1, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip D. Gemberling and Gladys Greathouse Gemberling; her nieces, Rebecca Hastings and Dawn Myers; her stepfather John L. Luft; her sister Donna; and her brother-in-law Gib Hastings.
She is survived by: her brother Jim Gemberling (Candy) of Pekin; and also, Amtrak and Lord. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and special friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. John's Fellowship Hall. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's United Church of Christ. Thirteen solo Amtrak rides ended with covid, but the frequent correspondence never stopped.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Minier Library or St. John's United Church of Christ.
