He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Maschhoff and Ella Maschhoff (Schaeffer); his wife June Vore; his brother William Maschhoff; and his son-in-law Kenneth Steinkamp.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Steinkamp of Carlyle, Brenda Jean Bierman of Salem and Brian Maschhoff (Marla) of Casey; his grandchildren, Jason Steinkamp (Stacie), Mallory Foster (Corey), Tyler Maschhoff (Darbie) and Karlee Hefner (Dalton); his great grandchildren, Jonah Steinkamp, Rhettick Steinkamp, Landry Steinkamp, Bennett Foster, Brynn Foster, Ayla Foster, Roman Hefner and Ridlee Hefner; and his sister Helen Corcoran (Rene).
Memorials may be made in Howard's honor to Trinity Lutheran Church, Hoyleton.
