He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Baird and Genarie Mae Baird (Lee); his wife Sherilyn Baird; his son Michael T.; and his brother-in-law William Moran.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Lee Baird (Vanessa) and Kimberly Sue Baird (Scott); his grandchildren, Travis, Andrew Baird and Josey Baird; his daughter-in-law Janean Baird; his brother Ronald Baird (Karen); his sister-in-law Doris Moran; his nephew Roger Moran (Gaye); and his nieces, Julie Baird and Jill Baird. He is also survived by two great-nieces, two great-nephews, one great-great niece, and on great-great nephew.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Calvert Metzler Memorial (1115 E Washington St, Bloomington, IL 61701).
Memorials may be made in Samuel's name to Fox River Lutheran Church in Sheridan, IL or Cornerstone Christian Academy.
