Wilma left this world on October 17, 2025 at the age of 100, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Luth and Adella Timmerman Luth; her husband James Carpenter; her son Randy Gene Carpenter; her son-in-law Arthur W. Wellman; her great grandchild Austin Stark (Pauline Shinn); and her brothers-in-law, Bob Shinn, Dick Mace and Dan Watson.
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Kaufman (Donald) of Quincy, IL, Rose Marie Stark of Quincy, IL, Terry Carpenter of East Hannibal, MO and Cindy Wellman of Barry, IL; and her sisters, Eilleen Watson of Memphis, TN and Selma Mace of Burlington, IA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. (302 S 5th St, Hannibal, MO 63401). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Praise Church (6400 Co Rd 445, Hannibal, MO 63401).
She was previously a member and Sunday School teacher at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Quincy, IL, Memorial contributions may be made to Hull Fire Department or Tabernacle of Praise Church.
