Elaine L. Hanson Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Elaine L. Hanson of Huntley, Illinois. Elaine, born on August 2, 1933, passed away on September 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Peddy and Florence Peddy (Carlson); her siblings, Helen Robertson, Jeanette Baumgartner and Gerald Peddy; and her siblings-in-law, Bill Robertson, Bill Zeigler, Glen Baumgartner, Donna Peddy, Sonja, Ken Zilly, Clifford, Patricia Hanson, Yarl Hanson, Josephine Medenwaldt, Tom Kuether, Alice and Jim Rogers.
She is survived by: her husband Gunnar; her sister Shirley Zeigler; her sister-in-law Helen Kuether; her nieces and nephews, Kyle Hanson (Robin), Rhonda Holycross (John), Jody Hoekstra (John), Lisa Sterghos (Nick), Valerie Vega (Michael), Marla Burkart, Tamara Hanson and Wade Hanson (Brandy); and her grandchildren, Jamie Horton (Bruce), Erika Hanson, Heidi Jerabek (Anthony), Ike Hanson (Sarah), Lee Holycross (Susan), Kenton Holycross (Kelsey), Sarah Petty (Chris), Joel Hoekstra (Abby Steidinger), Mitchell Hoekstra (Ann), Abigail Hoekstra (Taiyo Wilson), Nicole Sterghos, Connor Sterghos (Sara), Brody Burkart (Sara Tomlinson), Chase Burkart (Shannon), Hope Shrock (Robert), Yarl Kowalski (Esmeralda), Dane Kowalski, Avery Hanson and Will Hanson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hosanna Lutheran Church (36W925 Red Gate Rd, St. Charles, IL 60175). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
