She was predeceased by: her parents, Norbert Zielinski and Gertrude Zielinski; and her sisters, Nancy Podwika and Louise Zielinski. She is survived by: her husband John Casey Sr.; her children, John Jr. (Susan) of Trinidad and Kathleen Lerner (Ken) of Wilmette, Illinois.; and her grandchildren, Jill, Lindsay Lerner, Hannah, Serena Casey, Nathan Lerner, Jonathan and Lawrence Casey. She is also survived by her mother, sisters, and aunt.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Donnellan Family Funeral Home (10045 Skokie Blvd, Skokie, IL 60077). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (105 Herrick Rd, Riverside, IL 60546). A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
