With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Semancik of Huntley, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 29, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Rattay and Marianne Rattay (Jakab). She is survived by: her husband John (Semancik); her daughters, Julie Wade and Carolyn Sasse (Mike); her brothers, Ken Rattay (Sherry) and Denny Rattay (late Lynda); her grandchildren, Connor, Myla, Layton and Addy; her nephews, Denny Jr. (Julie), Matt (Sedny) and Kyle; her great-niece Ella; and her great-nephews, Meier and Xzander.
Memorial donations are suggested to Gilda's Club Chicago – an affiliate of the cancer support community.
